Winter Break

Posted on: December 12, 2010

I haven’t really done anything worth mentioning the last few days.  I’ve been hanging around the house helping my mom out since her surgery.  I work 1-2 days a week and intern 1 day a week so I have a lot of free time.  I have definitely caught up on sleep that I missed during fall quarter.  I need to do some Christmas shopping! Maybe I’ll get some of that out of the way today.

Other than that, I’ve started applying for real jobs! It’s crazy to think in a few short months I’ll be done with college. I’ve applied about 6 places so far, all in or around the Chicago area.  The most interesting job I applied for was to be a staff writer at Groupon.  Today I plan to use DePaul’s resource that shows cost of living and available jobs in other cities… like ones in California!

I met a friend at the Cheesecake factory last night! I got Chocolate Raspberry Truffle cheesecake.  The usual. I don’t like traditional cheesecake, but if you can make it taste like chocolate, I’ll eat it! It was very good!
