Inventory and zoo lights

Posted on: January 2, 2011

Inventory at Underthings went well.  We did it pretty quick! We ordered pizza for lunch! It was so good. One of the pizzas we got was mozzarella cheese, sausage, garlic, tomato, and basil (I think). It was amazing! We also had salad.  We took a break from counting and sat on the floor to eat.  Kiersten stopped by to drop off a few cards for me.  One was from her and one was from her host family.  They were both so sweet! I counted the bathroom, the back room, and the 2 cabinets behind the counter at the store.  We got a lot of it put back together and headed out for zoo lights a little early, around 4:45.  My mom told me we did that when I was young, but I didn’t remember.  It was so cool! The trees were all lit up and some of them had monkeys made out of lights hanging from them.  There was a fire breathing dragon lit up, Christmas trees, lizards, alligators, penguins, all sorts of stuff! I loved it! I took lots of pictures, but they didn’t turn out very good.  We also saw some ice sculptures being made.  A lot of the animals were out, too.  We saw the giraffes, lions, a jaguar, chimps, snakes, and 2 gorillas cuddling! The gorillas were the cutest things ever.  The giraffes were a close second though. I love giraffes.  Then, we went to R. J. Grunt’s for dinner. I had never been there before.  We ordered sangria while we waited for our table.  It was not the best sangria I’ve ever had, but then again, I did have sangria in Spain. I had a hard time deciding what to order, but I chose a bacon and cheddar burger.  We also got loaded cottage fries.  Those were very good! Victoria and I headed to the store to pick up the rest of the pizza for lunch and then came home.  It was a very good day. I want some chocolate ice cream so bad! Not now, because I probably ate my weight’s worth of calories already today, but soon!

School starts tomorrow.  Not cool!
