My dad’s birthday was Tuesday. We had a nice dinner and cake.  Everything he got except for my gift had something to do with Notre Dame.  I got him a Cardinal’s fan street sign.  It seemed like we were all thinking of things he could use for the garage or basement of the new house.  The other gift I got him came in the mail yesterday. Sooo close. I’ll have to hang onto it for Father’s Day. Yesterday was the first class of the cake decorating class I signed up for with Cindy.  I had a crazy day at work and couldn’t get out of here on time to catch an early train so I was late for the class.  All we really did yesterday was play with icing and make stars.  There are 3 more classes left. I have to spend even more money than I already did to buy the right pans and other accessories! It’s going to cost a fortune! I better be a cake boss after this class!  I finished Salem Falls on the train this morning. It was so good! I loved it.  I have one more book then I’m ready for another trip to the library! I’m meeting Melissa for lunch today after we have some more cake at work for becoming the Chicago’s #1 Daily Newspaper. Tonight on Grey’s, we find out which of the doctors failed the Boards! I’m meeting Kiersten for dinner at Cafe Ba Ba Reeba tomorrow. I haven’t been there in so long! This weekend there is a chocolate fest in Long Grove. I really want to go! Cindy and I also have to make 6 cups of frosting for cake class on Wednesday! What at first seemed like a relaxing weekend, now has a lot of things to do!
