Weekend

Posted on: May 20, 2012

Sunday already? Here’s my favorite secret this week! It is honest and true.

I have been so busy at work for the past month or so! I have been going in early and staying late trying to catch up since my reps have been out of town or need presentations done for when they go on calls. Crazy! It’s been exhausting.  The season finale of Grey’s Anatomy was crazy! If you are a fan of the show and havent’ seen it yet, you have to watch it! I think the show is going to be over soon. I won’t say any more so I don’t ruin anything.

On Friday, I went to Native Foods with Kiersten and Emilio.  I knew it was vegan and vegan food upsets my stomach, but she had been talking about it so much so I wanted to try it.  I mixed their iced tea, which was pink, with lavender lemonade and added a lemon and some honey. SO GOOD. I would go there just for that. It was amazing.  I had the Rockin Moroccan bowl. Don’t ask me what was in it. I have no idea. I think veggies, tofu, and quinoa.  Needless to say, it did not agree with my stomach.  I ended up at McDonald’s later that night, where I passed my 2nd cousin on Fullerton!  It was an interesting night.  After Native Foods, we played Whirley Ball! If you’ve never played before, its like bumper cars with lacrosse.  You have a scoop to pick up and pass the ball and you have to try to score on a net with a backboard and it only counts if it hits the net.  It was so hard.  I enjoyed it, but it was pretty difficult! We went back to Jessi’s after for the remainder of his birthday party.  I taught the guys how to play Turrets! They seemed to like it.  After Turrets, we played Irish Poker. Then, we played the game where everyone writes a famous person or character on a notecard, you pass them and then stick them to your forehead and try to guess who you are.  I was Pamela Anderson the first time and Robin from Batman and Robin the second.  Kiersten had a hard time guessing Tweety Bird, but she got Jack the Ripper!  Someone was ‘The Most Interesting Man in the World’ from the Dos Equis commercial.  Another person was Jesus.  That was hilarious! He was asking questions like, “Am I a criminal? Am I in porn? Am I from America?” It was so funny.  Friday night was fun! On Saturday, Kiersten and I went for a run and worked out a little.  Then we walked to Jamba Juice and I caught the 12:30 train home.  I just bought a bagel to take with me and I got yelled at by about 3 security people that I couldn’t have food on the train due to NATO.  If I would have hidden it better, I totally could have gotten it on the train.  I got on with other food and a bottle of water and they didn’t know.  Oh well.  Yesterday was my grandma’s 80th birthday! We had a nice dinner at Jameson’s Charhouse.  After that, we went back to my aunt’s house for cake!

I have a lot to do today. I have 2 more episodes of Private Practice to watch, I need to apply for jobs. I want to go shopping. Old Navy has bathing suits for cheap! I want to see if any of them are cute. I also want a tail skirt, which is longer in the back than in the front.  Yesterday, the barista at Starbucks complemented my dress.  It made my day. I also need to start picking out a graduation present for Kiersten. I have an idea of what I want to get her.  I need to make my cake and icing for cake class too! Lots to do today!

On another note, I did not make the finalists for the Roxy contest, but thank you again for voting.  You never know if you don’t try, right?
