Lwoods4's Blog

I keep forgetting to update my blog! Work has been pretty busy, but I decided to take a break.  Last weekend was pretty chill.  I watched Step Up on Friday night. Channing Tatum is so hot! Saturday was Jburg’s going away party!  She’s moving to San Francisco with her boyfriend.  I met Kiersten and her host brother from Spain and some of his friends for dinner first. She sprained her ankle in a soccer game earlier in the day! That is a big bummer. I’ve been down that road many times.  We went to Baccino’s for dinner.  It was fun, but I was the only person who wasn’t bilingual! I had to keep asking what they were talking about and after a while, I just gave up.  I had pasta with Italian sausage for dinner. It was really good! After dinner, I headed to Jburg’s.  We went to Merkel’s in Wrigglyville because her friend was working that night.  It was fun! I carried a fishbowl back to the table and spilled some on my shoes 😦   I had to get my car by 6 a.m. so I only got about an hour of sleep! I helped Cindy frost cupcakes on Sunday and then we had a little cousins get together at my grandma’s..which my uncle crashed. We had pasta and salad.  Amanda and I made a peanut butter cookie bar that I didn’t get to try because my sister wanted to leave! I am still trying to get her to save some for me..  I did some shopping last night for Tomapalooza! I lost my cart in the process of trying to find freeze pops.  I can’t wait for this weekend! It’s going to be so much fun! Tonight, I’m meeting Jburg at The Violet Hour.  Alyssa and I came to work dressed remarkably similar today. Take a look!

Here is my favorite Post Secret from this week. It is a little dark, but I like it because you can never tell what life has in store for you. You just have to keep going.

Also, you should check out Kavalena.com! My friend owns the company and I love what they are doing! Every purchase provides the following:

3 meals for a child and their family
1 hour’s worth of clean water for a village
1 hour of aftercare for an individual freed from slavery
1 day of school for a child in Ghana, Africa
1 hour of therapy for orphans with cerebral palsy and autism

I’m volunteering at their event on August 3rd.  You should too! I’m going to buy this shirt to show my support!
