Labor Day

Posted on: September 4, 2012

This weekend went by so fast! On Friday, I got to leave work early because of the holiday weekend. I made it out to Yorkville around 5:30 or 6. We hung out in the pool for a little bit.  Then we stopped by a friend’s house for a beer in the backyard. After that, I made my first appearance at Suzy’s! Suzy’s is a bar that the boys love. It’s huge, but it was pretty empty for a Friday.  The people were interesting. I had fun! I think I’ll be back. I had to get up early on Saturday to drive an hour and a half to Kiersten’s in order to leave for a wedding up in Wisconsin.  I got to her house a little before 10 and tried to decide on a dress. Of course I couldn’t pick just one, so I ended up bringing 3.  We left around 10:30 and didn’t get to St. Norbert, where the wedding was, until 2:30! We stopped for lunch, but that was it. We were planning on having plenty of time to get ready at the hotel, but we only had half an hour! Somehow it all worked out and we got to the church on time. It was a beautiful church with stained glass windows. The ceremony was short and sweet.  The reception was so much fun! I celebrated like it was my own wedding. There are photo booth pictures I have yet to see.  I danced all night with Kiersten. The next morning was rough and the car ride was miserable, but I had a blast! On Sunday, I stopped by my aunt’s for a little bbq.  It was fun to see my cousins and catch up.  After that, it was back to Yorkville. We watched Project X and The 5 Year Engagement. I do not recommend Project X. The 5 Year Engagement was decent, but I thought it would be funnier. On Monday, we relaxed in the pool. It was a really fun weekend, but I am so tired!
