Here is my favorite secret from this week!

I like this one too!

It is April Fool’s Day! Do you have any tricks planned? I don’t, I was never big on this day. The weather yesterday was so nice! I got to enjoy it a little on Sunday. Kit and I went for a run and played golf in the yard with Jessie. We also watched the first Harry Potter movie. I am reading the last book now. I can’t believe I never picked them up before! I love the books. I hope the movies do them justice! I had my first bachelorette party this weekend for Renee, my friend from college. Dang those things are expensive! Her shower took place from 2 – 5. Renee lives with another friend from college, Jessica, in Ravenswood. I really liked their apartment! It was spacious and decorated nicely. It made me want one! The shower was fun. We did mad libs and opened gifts. I got them a set of white wine glasses.  Jessica made some kind of sangria with peaches and there was brie cheese, my favorite. It was great to get everyone together again. Here’s a picture from the shower!

After the shower, we headed to the hotel. We stayed at the Holiday Inn above the Sun Times. Walking there was a blast from the past since I used to work for the Sun Times! They changed the lobby around, but it seemed like everything else was still the same. We got ready at the hotel and went to Cantina Loredo for dinner. It was pretty good. The guacamole was amazing! I didn’t eat too much of my dinner for fear of getting sick, but I loaded up on chips. After dinner, we went back to the hotel for gifts. I got Renee a thong from Underthings that says ‘bride’ in rhinestones on the hip. It is also blue so it could be her something blue! A few other people gave her similar gifts and Kerry gave her a photo book she made for the night and then she showed us the camera she bought to take pictures of the night. It was similar to a polariod camera. Very cool idea! We left the hotel around midnight and went to the Kerryman. We stayed there all night. It was packed on the 2nd floor. I had been there once before but just sat at the bar downstairs. I had a great time. It was really fun to be with my friends from college again. I wanted to go to McDonald’s for a burger but no one else did ha! A lot of my friends have dietary restrictions. I told Kit this and he said see not everyone wants McDonald’s all the time. I do!! We went back to the hotel around 3. I’d say it was a successful evening! I only took a few pictures and this is the only one worthy of being posted. Me and the bride to be!
