Summer Update

Posted on: August 18, 2014

I knew it had been a while since my last post, but I didn’t know the entire summer had gone by! I’ve been so busy posting for clients on social media etc that I have neglected my own sites.

Here is my favorite secret from this week:

I like it because it is very honest and raw. I haven’t felt in touch with my feelings lately and I think the person who wrote this is.

Reading my last post from Italy makes me want to go back. It was such an amazing trip! Other places I have been this summer include Milwaukee and Ohio for friends’ weddings:

Renee and Dave and Christine and Michael are married! Renee’s ceremony was very sweet. It was fun to catch up with friends in Ohio! The hotel where her reception was overlooked beautiful falls. Also, I caught Renee’s bouquet!

I thought Christine was the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen and I loved her dress! Christine’s reception space was very cool too. It was an outdoor park type place. Here is Christine and Michael’s first dance and a pic of me and my date grabbing some fresh air and taking in the view!

It’s so crazy that friends are getting married. Victoria is getting married in Santa Barbara at the end of the month and I am her maid of honor! I can’t wait to get there and start the festivities for her!

Kit and I stayed in Milwaukee for the weekend to celebrate his birthday also. We went to German Fest at the Summerfest grounds. We tried wienerschnitzel, a brat, sour kraut, and some other German pork. We also shared a huge brownie ice cream sundae!

We liked watching the dancers and I tried a really good wine. It was St. Christopher Piesporter Michelsberg Auslese from Germany and it is a “Wonderfully enjoyable sweet wine loaded with attractive peach fruit, pineapple and citrus.” We took the sky glide from one side of the park to the other. It was fun to see the water from up there!

Kit has been getting me into golfing. On our last outing, I got a par on a par 3! My dad also gave me a set of his old clubs to use. I’m not very good yet, but I have to keep practicing! My putting kills me. Here are a few pics from our sunset golf round where we met another couple and decided to play with them.

Also, Kiersten got a puppy! His name is Charlie and I got to meet him last weekend. Look how cute he is!

Kit and I got invited to see the air and water show yesterday from a friend’s boat downtown. Unfortunately, it was too foggy and the show was delayed and eventually canceled. It was a fun time though. Kit really loved being around boats again since his family used to own one! It would be fun to try to go back on a nicer day. I was looking forward to getting some sun and jumping in the water, but we were never able to take the boat out because the waves were too big.
